I had been working relentlessly on "Changing Seasons" (another leaf drawing) last year when I came across this leaf on the sidewalk. I snapped a quick photograph of it and then I continued my walk. I titled this drawing "Autumn's Hourglass" because the leaf's shadow on pavement reminded me of a sundial. The stones reminded me of star constellations, which can also be used to tell time.
